Karin Parramore, LAc
Karin has been interested in herbal medicine her entire life, and purchased her first book on herbal medicine at the age of 7. After a life of studying she realized she could actually be an herbalist, and obtained Chartered Herbalist status from Dominion Herbal College in 2001. Twelve years later Karin graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine with her degree in Chinese Medicine. In addition, she has been a practicing Aromatherapist since 2002.
Karin has this to say about her practice:
“Like all acupuncturists, I use the channels or meridians to diagnose and address imbalances occurring anywhere in the body, but by taking advantage of the fact that many of these meridians start or end in the face I can focus on using mostly face points. This provides the immediate advantage of a healthy glow and younger looking skin.
Additionally my long experience as a skin care formulator means I can custom formulate products based entirely on the needs of your skin, with no unnecessary chemical ingredients.
So in a nutshell, I treat imbalances in the body primarily by accessing the meridians through the face and neck points, resulting in a happy side effect of younger looking skin. And I make clean and natural skin care products specific to each patient.”
In addition to assisting Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, Karin is adjunct faculty at the National College of Natural Medicine (Cosmology and Symbolism). She has taught Aromatherapy at both the National College of Natural Medicine and the Helfgott Research Institute, and currently offers classes to the public. Karin’s long experience with herbal medicine combined with her thesis on the healing benefits of medicinal clay led to the creation of a line of products for the Natural Product Industry, as well as professional products for other practitioners to offer their patients.
